I think that was about to start right around when I retired. We were pulling double 48s when I drove for Hannaford Supermarket. I was trained and got the permit to do it but didn’t really feel comfortable doing it . Talk about stress . Then there is hooking and unhooking multiple times and then usually you take the empties and drop them where ever your picking up a back haul . I was already working 14 hours a day and barely sleeping during the day when I got home . Was very good money though . I hear they are paying $1500 monthly bonuses to part time drivers since it’s so hard to find drivers !

 

Did you drain the tanks ? Had that happen before

 

I sure don’t miss driving the big rigs
