also used Kerdi Board in our master shower

 

Kerdiboard only needs the joints sealed, correct? If you use the Schluter on drywall, the whole sheet has to be adhered to the substrate with thinset?

 

You tape over the seams and fasteners with Kerdiboard , the rest of the sheet is waterproof

 

Here in SoCal any off-road vehicle exhaust must be equipped with a spark arrestor. Other than super cars I’ve never seen exhaust shoot flames, but you gotta figure it’s happened before if it’s a current requirement.

 

Maybe I should price out using the Kerdiboard versus hanging drywall and the membrane

I’ve seen that. Not sure how long it’s been out but back when I did my bathroom remodel the only thing I could get was the regular Kerdi or the Ditra

 

its been out for probably 15+ years in Canada

 

its my current client project , we've been doing a bit of deconstruction this week in prep for taking the whole upper floor off with an excavator

 

I hope the rest of the house is ok?

 

Why just the upper floor? Is the rest of the place in good shape, but the additions were done poorly?
