Lift your front end, put your hands@ 3 & 9 o'clock on your front tire and check for play in your front tires (both) by pushing back and forth. If their's play you need to look @ your inner/outer tie rods. With the constant noise while your driving I'd start by checking your front hubs. While your front end is lifted rotate your front wheels. If you hear anything more than minor, consistent noise it may be your hubs. As @Black Bean Taco said, put your truck into 4wd (as long as you are going in a straight line you can do it on-road). If it goes away it's the needle bearing.

I went through a year's long search chasing down a vibe. I tried almost everything and replaced parts that likely didn't need replacing. Turns out one of my tires was bad from the manufacturer (required more than 8oz in one spot to balance). Once I figured that out and moved it to my full time spare I've been vibe free since. The place I bought the tires kept rebalancing them but didn't want to tell me the tire was bad since they'd have to replace it. Went to a different shop for road force balancing and it revealed the true cause.

The center console mod was one of my favorites. Don't know why my 05 needed two cigarette lighters and nothing else....

    OK, let's try this again.

There are two photo's; one is of some orange things in the "box" that is in the photo of the bed of the truck.

The re is another photo of a box that I assume goes into the opening in the bed of the truck in which the orange things are mounted.

I already have a compressor; what I am interested in is the box. I have never seen that specific item anywhere and could not find it on the Napa web site. And, as you pointed out, the orange items in your photo do not show up on their web site either - and that's OK with me, because I am not interested in the compressor - what I want is the box.

    Thanks

It's not though, even with the tailgate strut removed, my tailgate has always been just as finnicky to get closed.

Not something I meant to do. Gas station attendant (Oregon Law requires attendants pump gas) selected premium instead of 87. Caught it half-way through, got him to switch to regular. And thats the story of how I paid $50 for half a tank and am now running an 87/91 mix for the next week.

All great points! I plan to install the ecgs bushing and get an alignment and balance and go from there. Both front hubs are brand new, and after install was when I got the out of balance tire feeling

In true TW fashion you should've started a thread titled, "Trade In or Part Out Truck After Mixing 87 & 91 Octane?!?!?!"

Finally wax and detailed the truck and of course a freak thunderstorm rolled in. I can't win... But the truck still looks great. :D:cool:

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
I wonder if that’s something that happens a lot at unscrupulous gas stations.

Has anyone ever looked into the 3rd gen dampening system. I loved that on my 3rd gen. Every once in a while my old brain forgets I am in a 2nd gen and let the tailgate slam open. Seems like whatever is in the 3rd gen could maybe possibly be re-engineered for use on a 2nd gen. I have never investigated that. There may be a much larger bore in the 3rd gen tailgate to hold the mechanism. That is one of only 2 or 3 things I miss about the 3rd gen.

I'm a huge fan of proper retrofits. I retrofitted S2000 projectors in my integra and the results are fantastic. Since my headlights on the truck are so far gone, i wasnt sure if those ones i had posted actually contained a decent project or not.
