No problem! There were 4 of them sitting there and I picked up two. Got to the register and forgot I had my $5 coupon too, so that helped out. Also took advantage of the 15% off spirits direct and got a Still Austin Cask Strength

Worked! I selected the soonest pick-up time available so they'd have to grab it off the shelf quickly. Now I have 4, so I can relax and drink a bottle or two.

Best price you're apparently gonna find on Springbank these days. Nice find!

Decided to try the cask strength since I don't care for regular Maker's Mark. I find the regular just kinda bland.
This is pretty good, a little sweet, a little heat/spicy. Not bad for $40 but don't know I'd buy it again.

Yeah. Im trying to find it below 200. SRP is 170.

The really fun part? It's almost certainly the same juice that was in those 14/15 year old store picks like the longhorn label I got. They were all barreled in 2004/2005.

So Beam managed to turn those $40 bottles into 170s.

Just realized I have two bottles from the same barrel, anyone know roughly how many bottles a barrel can produce?

    palindrome bottles!

bottles depends on age, but basic math............55 gallon barrel is 208198 ml, so 277 bottles.....angel share/proof just say like 250

Keeps losing 3-4% per year after the initial loss in year one. At Buffalo Trace they said they have found barrels with Pappy empty after 23 years.
