Yeah, I've worked on all kinds of cars. That's why I said that Toyota usually does a good job.

If it can be done without recharging the AC, then that's not bad. But, having to service an unrelated part to replace a part is shitty, IMO.

Most of my Toyotas have been pretty easy to work on. Even the MR2 wasn't bad for most things. We did have to remove the engine from underneath, though.

THIS!!! It once took me a whole weekend to replace a thermostat on my old Audi A3. My knuckles just automatically start bleeding now every time I open the hood of that thing. I own 9 different kinds of hose clamp pliers, a complete set of triple-square sockets, 3 electrical connector removal tools, and various other tools I'll never use on any other vehicle. I have a love/hate relationship with that damn car. I love to beat the hell out of it when it's running, and I hate it when I'm forced to address the shit that breaks on a highly modded 2006 car with 180,000 miles. (It's currently broken in the driveway, and mocks me every time I have to walk by it.)

I haven't done a lot of wrenching on the Taco yet, but it's so weird to see so much room to work under the hood. It even seems like I could complete most jobs without having to modify any of my tools!

One of our carpet cleaning vans is a Ford Econoline. You have to remove the entire fuel injection system to change the spark plugs. Of, and there’s about an inch of clearance to get them out. It’s a $1k job. Well, 10 years ago it was that much.

I’ve had a nail in my drivers front tire all summer. It’s not leaking, so I felt it’s probably best to just leave it be for now.

Awesome! Timm's hill is on my list of places to visit. I used to camp in the area every year, but never made a point to check it out.

If you see a group of Toyotas, stop and say hi! :)
