Technically, OME lift springs are designed as a lift by themselves, to be used with the factory shocks. The springs provide lift by being longer than the factory springs. Then they have different springs for different weight capacities for heavier vehicles.

The Bilstien shocks are designed to be used with the factory spring, and use notches in the shock body to adjust where the ride height is and to compensate for added weight. These notches adjust where the lower spring perch sits on the shock body.

There are companies that pair the 2 together, but now you are technically combining 2 different lift styles together and this can cause an unsatisfactory ride if not done right. Also combining the 2 does not mean more lift, it is usually done for weight.

Man that looks awesome. If you don't mind me asking, why did you end up going with a spacer lift vs suspension? Is your taco 2wd? How does it ride compared to stock height? Interested bc I'm getting a 2wd taco and wondering what my options were to get the aesthetic similar to what you have.

looks good man! That has some serious poke to it.

I’m not sure I would go with a spacer lift though, they seem like a good stepping stone to go to a more advanced lift kit but I’m not sure I’d leave it long term.

From what I’ve read they don’t correct suspension geometry and doesn’t soften up the ride at all.

Yea, I’ve also considered maybe doing skinny 33’s to get the look I want. I have a 2wd taco so not planning to off road, other than the occasional dirt road. I just wanna stuff some bigger tires in there without dropping too much money on suspension/lift mods that I wouldn’t be practical for a 2wd truck.

@maximum great looking ride. That's just how I'd like to get mine.
