It is totally legit.. Soaked in egg whites, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, salt and white pepper then breaded with corn starch and deep fried then tossed in the sauce made from Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, chicken stock, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, toasted sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic and chili flakes.

I approve this method. I grew up with an experimental cook and Chinese affectionado. The minute he said corn starch, I knew this was right. Made sweet/sour pork from scratch all the time…:thumbsup::thumbsup::hattip:

Simple pancakes in my oldest CI. Just to see if I could, I subbed oat milk in for regular milk. Saving the regular milk for tomorrow’s coffee. A supply run is in order. The flapjacks are still hitting the spot.

Quick red sauce with veggies and Italian sausage on a Sunday. Going over linguine with fresh grated pecorino Romano cheese. Flavortown, population 1.

I did not think to do that, how rude of me.

I forgot to pickle them, so they’re just hanging out

I’ve been using a good technique for making Pico. Cut the onions first, place in a bowl and put all the salt and lime juice on them, let them macerate while you chop the other veggies. It really mellows them out!

I love the attempt, but there is a clear lack of cayenne, garlic, lemon, and onion… I’m sure it will meet the envie though!

    Southern Boil maybe?
