I actually looked up pricing for a 19 wr450. Surprisingly they are still going for close to 9k. I found 1 with 1200mi on it dude was asking 8.7k. Mine is a steal than. Lol

A little backyard paint booth action.

A Wideline Norton featherbed frame with custom mounts to fit a Vincent engine.

I hope to never actually have to do this. I'd rather limp the bike to the truck or home and deal with it then. Can I do it? Yeah. Will it suck literally the entire time? Oh yeah.

Ah the old backyard paint booth. Been there when I painted my fxr fender.
I wrapped a pop up canopy in plastic to protect from the wind.

now that’s what I’m talking about. Since I’m doing just the frame right now I’m not ALL that concerned with it being perfect or not

Finally got my Denali T3 switchbacks in hand so I installed them this morning when I got to work, a solid 2 hours to figure out what all I needed to do, take the bike apart, and put it back together.

I feel much more confident about visibility from the rear now, stock brake light was dim to me, but the turn signals weren’t bad, this is an overall 200% improvement.

That’s beautiful country up there, I’m trying to convince my dad that it would be a good idea to take a week in mid/late spring and trailer our bikes from Ms to Charlottesville to ride up there, one of my cousins in that area is shopping for a bike so he can get back into riding and ride with us if/when we make a trip.

How do you like your Africa twin? I’ve been researching those for when I step up to a larger bike.

Charlottesville is about an hour and a half south west of me. But yea, VA is nice!

Loving the Africa Twin! Almost at my year of ownership. I am not getting rid of this thing. It does everything that I ask it to do, plus probably way more than Im capable of

Id agree, Ive owned sport bikes, UJM style motos, cafe racer, and a supermoto. This is the first bike that can do all the above, maybe not the best at one of the categories but it can do it all without much struggle. Just a great bike to get around and see the world. Dirt, street, back country road, or falling apart old Jeep trails, she can do it all.
The other cool thing is having luggage and being able to stop for market runs, or take stuff to work without wearing a back pack. Sitting position is comfy, nice and tall view of the road. Ive gone thru the suspension to get rid of the softness and wallowing in turns, as well as a steering dampener since it likes to wander on the highway over grooves and cause wobble

    None... yet.
Bike is loaded on my truck and ready for the Shenandoah Circuit @ Summit Point tomorrow. Starting the day at a brisk... er, I mean, an effin' cold 36... but supposed to warm up to 62 or so. Might skip the earliest session... If I'm lucky, there'll be so few of us idiots there, they might just make it an open track for the day. That'd be... cool.

Such a long and fun day! Stands went up at 9:30am for me went out to my buddy’s place to meet up with everyone 30mins away. Then the trip started! Road for an 1hour45mins to a moped/scooter rally! Now I have never been to a rally before so it’s very hectic and so much is going on but fun! As my buddy stated it best “this event is for when you hit rock bottom and have left over drug money so you buy a clapped out scooter/moped and spend more money on junk parts to make it go 55mph and have so much fun on a death machine” which is very much true haha nobody stays in order everyone is just going any which way and once I got that sorted out it was fun just ripping in between people and going on sidewalks :anonymous: and other typical hoonigan shit haha overall a fun and interesting experience! I finally got home at 8:45pm I spent pretty much all day on that old klx and man do I feel it! Had my clutch hand and both legs cramp up and lock up 30mins from home and had to quickly stop in a bad neighbor hood and walk around haha

I’ll post more pics when others post em I didnt take many haha

Ordered a new rear for the bmw, going with a dunlop trailmax mission again. It's lasted me a while and I like it's manners. Revzilla had it $83 off, so I figured I should grab it before it goes out of stock. Now I just need to catch the front tire in stock, too. Theyre doing free bike wash sampler kits today, too. Also picked up some wheel weights and rim shields. Figured I scratched my rims up enough last time I should try and not make it any worse this time around.
