For anyone wondering about my recent posts/ dilemma, lol... shock surplus is taking care of it as the leaf pack did not have the spacer inside the eyelet which was causing loss in height and the ability to torque down... one of their employees confirmed it with a recent similar experience...Im really impressed with their customer service. Im exchanging in person at one of their local shops this week. Now I get to take out the leaf pack for the third time haha, I don't mind and its like a big RC car... just glad its being resolved. I understand things happen... Double check the spacers are in there!

Damn things are squeaking already. Not even 500 miles yet. I know about the innertube hack, but wonder if it could be the mounts/bushings not the leaves themselves. Although, it sounds real similar to the stock leaf springs that they had a TSB for. Once they did that fix they were fine. Why can't they just include something originally for this. Kind of hoping they will break in but kind of doubt it.

I've got about 1500 miles on mine and are still quiet. I did not do the install. From what I understand, my mechanic use some sort of grease/lubricant between each leaf to help prevent squeaking. What type or how much, I do not know.

    2 questions:

Anyone running BAMF HD shackles? Their site suggests trimming of the pack may be required to achieve full articulation. I don't even know how one trims these thicc packs.

And any tips for getting packs back in when you switch to option 3? When I went to option 2, I was just barely able to leverage the packs to line up the eyelet with the shackle and get the bolt in. I don't know of I'll be able to do the same with option 3's additional thiccness and arch.

Just got done with the RTX install option 2. Total lift is about 3" but I expect that to settle a bit overnight. Took about 4 hours with most of the frustration occuring with the Bilstein 5125 install.

My question is as you are looking straight at the brake drum are the U-bolt supposed to be plum? Mine are just slightly off vertical.

FWIW- I kinda knew added weight would smoothin the ride out… I added about 115lbs of temporary weight in the bed (2x 7g water jugs) and the jitteryness almost went away completely, almost. I’ve got 6112/5160 rxt opt 1. Empty bed with future plans of a maybe a Leer 180 shell… I wanted to check how it would ride with the weight of a shell… another 85lb would be much smoother.

Same here, it really doesn't take much to smooth it out a lot. Every time I've had something in the bed, less than 100lbs it's much better (on option 1).

finally got around to putting everything in my truck. I did option 2 and got about 3 inches of lift in the rear with the weight I have. I did bamf hanger upgrade too but shouldn’t have affected the height at all

What weight do you have in addition to the topper?

I made a shelf in the bed out of wood and composite decking that weighs around 50-60lbs and the bed mat. I guess sliders may have some affect too but not much. Id guess around 300lb total

Thanks. I’m currently at roughly 1-1.5” over stock with a 3 leaf AAL. I’m running the same topper with another +/- 75lbs in the bed. Been leaning towards option 2 if I ever get around to installing my set. Really not wanting to gain 3” though.

My AAL was useless. I'm on option 2 and with an RSI smartcap and an RTT Im basically perfectly level if not have 1/4" of rake FWIW

A full leaf replacement is always better than an AAL. That said, my setup is meeting my current needs/uses just fine and provides my desired rack. I bought the Icon pack because the price was right at the time. They've been sitting on my shop floor for over year.

What is your center hub to fender flare measurement? Stock in the rear is 22" Did you get 3" over stock or 3" over where the OEM leaf pack had sagged to with your topper?

I am at 24" on option 2 with no added weight in the rear except for the weight of sliders and skids.

I was at 21.5 stock and got 24.5 right after lift was put in. Now its 24 so it settled some
