I just had an idea; I have lots of lady friends who would look better than me wearing the apron and mask, and who would likely be willing to pose for for photos with the truck...

Gwyn is definitely onboard if our schedules sync up tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure that just the apron would violate the code of conduct...

And some more bloody handprint stickers arrived while I was working on the truck!

The mask.....though a particle masks doesn't do much for smells.

You had me confused because you quoted the picture with my friend Helen in it...

I just think that a gas mask/respirator fits the whole zombie apocalypse theme really well!

A Halloween-themed photo shoot and a sign at a doctor's office saying "Everyone must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status" are two totally different things.

    @Taco critter

So I was worried that several of the women I know would think I was a weirdo and say no to putting on the zombie hunter gear for a photo shoot with the truck. I texted several of them, and one has not responded, but the rest of them are willing to put on the mask and apron pictured and pose in front of the truck holding the zombie bat! I've got three friends ranging in age of 24 to about 54 who are willing to have their picture taken with the truck! Helen's granddaughter who lives in Texas even says she'd put on the mask and apron and pose with the truck, if she lived in Pennsylvania. So yeah, I've got like three different women who want to do this!

My neighbor's 6-year old daughter is obsessed with Halloween, and is of course obsessed with my truck in its current state as a result. She saw the apron and respirator and wanted to put them on, so I indulged this, but of course they didn't fit her.

My friend Anna is autistic like me and as I've mentioned before is terrified of "heavy-duty" masks due to sensory issues. She is happy to put on the apron and wield the bat though, and is willing to let the mask hang around her neck to make the photo shoot look more authentic.

Autism is a spectrum in more ways than one. I don't mind wearing masks for costumes as you can see, and I will tolerate wearing one in the doctor's office for short periods, but I cannot stand wearing one for a long time; I dealt with that nonsense when I was working at Spirit Halloween last year, and I am DONE. Most of my autistic friends don't mind wearing masks, and a lot of them really don't like loud noises; I used to hate loud noises, but I've gotten over it. My friend Anna will be on the verge of a panic attack if she has to wear a mask nonstop. Anna also doesn't like it when I turn up the radio in my truck really loud, while other autistic friends of mine encourage me to crank it.

I have one friend, who was not diagnosed with Aspergers until she was 47 (she is 55 now), and I guess "lifestyle dominatrix" would be the best way to describe her. Lots of Aspies and people with autism spectrum disorders would be terrified of many aspects of the BDSM lifestyle, but my friend has been tied up and gagged before and she's fine.

I have such an amazingly diverse group of friends it isn't even funny. There's my kinky fellow Aspie who I just mentioned above. My best friend is Asian (specifically Laotian). I have numerous gay friends, and I have a friend who is a transgender woman; I judge based purely on the content of their character, and I wish other people would do the same.

Well I guess to each their own.
I find that kind of stuff “odd”.
But who am I to talk. I’m quite sure I do a lot of odd things too.

But being tied up and gagged ain’t one of them.
If someone ties me up and gags me. It won’t be because I consented.
And if I get loose, someone’s getting an ass kickin’.
