My dad joined the engine out club today.
He's ok, some bumps and bruises, no one on the ground got hurt.
    The plane is totaled.

Sounds like fun, but not sure I will be able to make it. There is somethings in flight at work and I'm pretty sure I will need to work.

Damn...did he fall straight down? Odd position based on where the plane is sitting. Hopefully he is alright and the family in the casa.

Same! It could have been much worse given the area he was over.

No, he managed to glide for a bit. I'm still trying to get all the details but I know it was an engine failure while he was in the pattern at the airport. He was close to the airport but couldn't make it to the runway. He'd mentioned in text he tagged a tree on the way in and it spun him around. I'm sure I'll get the full story when I get a chance to talk to him.

Hahahaa yep. He just had to join, I guess. I told him he made it look like we're all jinxed; every pilot in the family has had a crash now.

Mornin fellas! I haven't posted here in years but I'm in a pickle. I try to do most of the work myself on my trucks but at this point I'm just way too busy. 2010 won't shift into overdrive and I need to get her taken care of. Need to find a great mechanic on the far east side that I can trust with TacoRojo.
    Recommendations please and thank you!

East side of San Antonio? If not Toyota, I can vouch for Bert's Gene Brown Transmission off of Perrin Beitel. Fair priced and they did good work on an auto trans I took to them in 2020. How's your trans fluid?
