Possibly. I had quite a bit of weight in the back of mine though.

 

Taking the kiddos up to the property for the first time. Overland trailer build needs paint then wiring so it’s not ready yet. Decided to make my utility trailer a toy hauler for the trip.

This rack is designed to be easily removable
2x2x1/4” receiver toob integrated to the frame rails.
(Didn’t want to take up the interior trailer space for moving various things)




2x2x1/8” for the cross bars



Realized I wanted the tent configured 6’ side same as 6’ trailer width so I made removable supports to bolt the tent

looks great. I always thought of doing something like that to mine but never got to take the idea to reality. I had very similar thoughts but to also somehow make it telescoping and foldable so that the rack could stay on the trailer all the time without losing any deck space.

 

Thanks. It’s wild how much I use this trailer.. other people will borrow it as well.
It’s been perfect for everything so far. I really didn’t wanna impact the utility of the trailer in any way. I made it almost completely removable so nothing is ever an issue in the future strapping down furniture or getting a load of stone.


I made a spare tire mount not to long ago. And that was a point to where can I put it without being in the way really. Ended up setting it vertical on the tongue up against the rail

 

Bad ass. You know, I may have something at work that you may want for that. Buyers products make storage for heavy duty trucks and trailers. I think I have a few that I could literally let go for pennies on the dollar. If you're interested let me know and I'll see what I have when I get to work on Monday.
