What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Spent the better part of a beautiful Michigan fall afternoon installing my bed rug - it passed the most important test and is certified Good Boy Approved

 

Do you not take it offroad? Those wouldn’t last a week on my truck. They would be unrecognizable after the first weekend

 

Hauled things from storage, and had a rocking chair go airborne out of the bed. That was a surprise.

 

Started at 9:30 am and just finished at 5 pm. 6112 set at 5/4 , freedom offroad UCA's and Torch Add a leaf + 5100 rear shocks.

I didnt measure before or after but looks around 2" + all around. will wait until night to adjust he headlights.

 

Jonesing for my speakers to arrive.

 

Put a used camper shell on

The shell is a '17 and the truck is a 19. May have faded a little but it's a close match.

 

im color blind so close enough for me lol

 

Installed OEM Power Tailgate lock, why this isn't standard equipment is a mystery to me. Not a difficult install, apart from the annoying clips on on the gate and bed.
Also added an ARB Diff breather relocate kit.

 

Interior lighting continued. Hope this can help with options someone may be considering. I think it’s all good and regardless of what I may do with maps/dome, I like the aqua for the footwell as it does match well with the dash lights.

Would love some input on this setup. Trying to decide between this or fox 2.0 setup. Every review is different

 

I picked up the part yesterday; how long does it take? I’ve read the instructions but just not yet sure how to get the door sill trim off.

 

I put in a phone charger big whoop lol

 

Washed it, and then blacked out the chrome badges.

A bit inspired by the Blackened whiskey l sampled last night.

 

Door sill trim pops off. Has clips that hold it on. This video is a good step by step.

Easy enough but if you have the outside LED "courtesy lights" under the body then a bit more involved. If so I can advise on what I did. If not, it's mount, plug and play.

 

Plug and play, at least for my 2017

 

Not long, door sill pops off, couple clips. Just use a trim tool or gently pull up starting at one end working towards the other.

What do you want to know? Those upper control arms are a bitch to remove

 

Not the OP. 1 suggestion I would make is don't wait till it gets too cold to remove interior panels. They will distort and possibly crack.
