That picture almost makes me want to keep my red one.

But 4 1st gens are enough. (Plus the rollover I still have to get off my ass and part out)

The crazy part is, I hated the color to begin with. I only bought this particular one because it was the lowest miles, best condition, best price combo I could find, when I bought it. I was looking at a silver, a white, and a tan at the same time.

Now... I'm so glad I bought this one, and I love me some Impulse Red Pearl... I bought the truck 18 years ago. I guess you could say it grew on me over time lmao.

nothing will replace my imperial jade mica. but i do like the red with black on the lower 1/3rd of the truck. just looks good.

the black and white trucks i have are... well the worst color i never want to own is black. but i own a black one. DOH looks good.. miserable to keep clean, and of course.. thats the one i want to keep clean. because its like a freaking time machine to 1998

Imperial Jade Mica is a bad ass color for sure. And relatively rare as well.

But I've gotten from hating it to thinking my favorite is Impulse Red Pearl. I'd love to build a standard cab insane truck and paint it Impulse Red as well... actually... a matte Impulse Red Pearl would be dope.

LMAO... We can all have pipe dreams. Mine is to build a Everyman Hammers truck.

So I can lose to Loren Healy and his 2 buddies with their bottomless pits of money from Ford for their superchargers and portal axles anyone who is an "Everyman" can never afford to run... but I digress lol

I just got done swapping spark plugs, trying to chase a P0301/P0300 and thought I recalled that the spark plugs I put in there 2-3 years ago were single electrode. Put in dual electrode today and tightened up the valve covers while I was working around. I was planning on doing pads, rotors, extended brake lines, and painting calipers today but I have kind of gotten sidetracked... My 4wd locked up on me going down the road nearly two years ago during the great TX Snowmageddon and has been grinding/seizing ever since. I drained my diff a few months ago and it was very shiny blue/silver but no large chunks, there seems to be no play in the pinion, and I replaced my passenger CV as well since the inner boot was completely blown on it. As I was under the truck today looking for a bolt I dropped during the spark plug job, I got curious and started cranking the front driveshaft by hand (hubs unlocked) and everything was spinning fine for a minute but then the passenger CV stopped spinning and only the driver's side kept turning. Any ideas? Probably just the guts in my diff are obliterated?

Just out of curiosity, did you get the ARB 3423020 or 3423040?

I wonder if that passenger side lockout has failed somehow. Might be worth pulling the face and taking a look. Easier and quick than pulling the diff. :notsure: I imagine that if the diff had an internal failure, both would lock. I'm new to this though so I'm guessing. Hopefully you can track it down and its a minor fix.

The good news is I just drove 50 miles with 3 engine cranks/kills and there are no codes stored on the ECU, and it does feel a little spicier in 4th and 5th. Now to tackle the brakes :burp:

Getting after these rear brakes. Looks like they haven't been touched since they left the factory 230,000 miles ago.
