It's something you can have if your state isn't built entirely upon salt. But unfortunately yours is, so you can't have car friends... or regular friends (but that's a height thing, no one wants to be asked to leave a bar with their child)

yea.. 07 frame swap soon as i get some lowers. set in san diego hopefully will be mine.. i'd love to get that done for more money.

need to order rebuild parts for the camburg uppers off dallas's truck, get the icons rebuilt and toss the 700 lb springs on, order the 4xinnovations rear bumper. then just.. drive the 95 i'll worry about tires later. probably toss the 32" wildpeaks i have on it for now with the tundra 17s.. when i get new 15s for the pickup wheels i'll go back to them.

Yeah, 600 if you're doing just the ARB will be perfect. 650 if you're getting a winch

    650 it is.

after needing a winch multiple times. I’m just going to get one. Lugging around the one we have at the farm to use for things a truck winch could do.. yea. That winch we have is way too big and bulky. Industrial shit

You could get away with 600s (which are cheap cause they're always for sale used) if you use synthetic rope on the winch

We’ll see. Shocks are last thing I’ll rebuild. First thing is getting the cab corners straight and the new bed on. Engine maintenance and some redline gear oil in the transmission.
    Then the mods

What would you recommend for an unarmored 2.7L standard cab?

I picked up TMFF's old Camburg/Sway-a-Way coilovers. He put 13" 600lbs springs on because it was the lightest he had on hand. I have a set of 14" 500lbs springs I picked up from another member for the cost of shipping that I want to try but I wonder if they'll be too light.

Those are great C/Os, I bet you'll really like em. I'd probably try the 600s first, a 540/550 is what most Old Man Emu light coil are designed for... maybe something in there if the 600s are too much. 500s are super light for a truck, but you have almost the lightest combo so it could be right. Try the 600s first tho, that man massaged the valving on those shocks it could be fine with them

Cool, sounds like I'm on the right track.

I've been running the coilovers with the 600s for a few months now. They were a noticeable improvement over the 4600s with mystery springs (whatever came on the quick struts the previous owner had installed) I had before. The j59s and 5100s I just put under the rear smoothed things out even more. It is still a bit chattery over bad pavement, though, especially when the bed is empty.

It might just be a case of "it's an old truck, that's how it's going to be"... but I'm happy to experiment as long as I can get the springs for cheap. I'll try the 500lbs and also keep an eye out for some 550lbs.

I will tell you these trucks can ride like clouds... it's worth chasing down the combo that will get you there. I've stumbled on it a couple of times, but I'd be lying if I said I could predict it with any accuracy from one setup to another.

Also I might be biased on the C/Os...

I put 650s on mine though, they had those red 700s and I was sure that wouldnt work for me, and im not super light
