Picked up a set of 3rd Gen TRD OR suspension to swap my tired old set. It’s missing the nuts for the top of all the shocks though. Anyone know if the thread pitch is the same and I can reuse my current setup’s nuts?

I swapped mine and I can check an original 2008 nut on one of the studs on my 2022 mounted set tomorrow. In fact you can remove 1 nut and try it. Won't hurt anything to do that. They come off easy enough and don't require much torque to put back on. I would bet money they are identical nuts.

The trd sway bar is actually a lot smaller diameter. The sport one was substantially larger in diameter.

New wheel bearings for the single cab today.

Driver side started making noise months ago but I kept ignoring it :anonymous:, parts have been sitting at my shed for a couple weeks and since I'm off I decided to tackle that, way easier than expected.

I'd say they were the oem ones? o_O Hard to believe because this thing has 229k but idk, passenger side was in perfect condition and you can tell was replaced, most likely before selling the truck so about 11k miles ago.

And yes, I need to do my yard :annoyed:

Question about your awning mount, do you have it attached to both the roof rack and the rack on your cap? I'm going to put my cap back on and I have a 6ft awning. Once I build a rack for the cap I was debating on attaching my awning to both front and back racks.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Went to replace the lower control arm on my driver side, after having a squeak for awhile that I thought was coming from the LCA itself, only to find that it’s the bushing/ball joint on my Icon coil overs that’s wore the f out.

At least I’ve got the LCA’s on hand now for when I need them, but buying $250 worth of parts when I only needed $60 worth was another good thing to learn. What’s sad is I should’ve caught it already, as I had already identified that particular spot as the squeak point.

    Lessons in DIY mechanic work.
