Morning everyone. Gonna be a great day over the hill tomorrow. My Dad, Son, Nephew and myself will be in our stands. I set up two Caretaker ground blinds, one for Dad in a fencerow between two fields not far from the cabin. Eighty four years young, still refuses to ride the gator to his spot, so I made a spot closer for him. Four trails come together in spot, hoping he gets his first crossbow kill. Don't even care if it's a flattop. Picture is him last year walking to my doghouse. He really didn't care for it so I'm hoping new blind suits him better. Getting excited just reading these posts as last Saturday was a washout. Good luck everyone!

They cutting all the corn around here . There’s close to 1000 acres of corn nearby. Some bordering the 130 acres I hunt and the rest less than 1/4 mile . Going to set up at bottom of drainage that leads to corn this afternoon around 4 . I bought a 3 sided portable blind during turkey season .

Morning all. Was a good day over the hill yesterday, perfect October weather. My Boy got his first crossbow kill, nice sized doe. Being the good man he is, shared some of his harvest with Dad and I after we cut her up. Chili was awesome as always. Very thankful we still have my Dad, three gens hunting and butchering side by side. Cherish every minute! Happy Sunday all!

Had one doe at 5 yards and one at 45 yesterday afternoon. I have to leave the woods a good 15-20 minutes before sunset because I can’t see shit . Side effects from all my eye surgeries :(especially if I’m sitting on the ground . Had my alarm set for this morning but woke up at 3 shut it off and went back to sleep . It’s now around 30* . Going to walk up to my ladder stand mid day I guess . Still have a lot of days to bow hunt ,all the way until rifle which is 3rd Saturday in November.

Same here. Ideally I would just hunt every afternoon of the season, but its like going to the bathroom...ya gotta go when ya gotta go. And I've seen some bruisers right around 8am.
