After some quick googling it seems like actual Rivian owners are getting around 250-270 miles while driving 80 Mph in nice weather. Rain drops it lower. Haven’t found anything about cold yet.

It will probably be a 10-20% hit

It's insane that a battery that weighs nearly a ton can only move the thing 250 miles on a good day

Off of 250? Not too great.

You do realize that you recharge it and keep driving, right? I’ve done 800 miles in a day in a Tesla that had similar range.

Changes in battery weights and range are coming. Just not here yet.

Why do you say stuff like that? We’re having a decent conversation here and then you have to be a douche.

Especially since I can squeak 400 out of the Taco, and re-juice it in a minute or two. When I travel, give myself an extra day on either end of the trip, even with that the Rivian would of been annoying, don’t think those extra days would be enough.

If they could get them a bit lighter where maybe two people could lift it, maybe the cat stealers would move to stealing batteries

Interstate with fast chargers, or back roads with only 240V available?

Is it safe to assume that in cold weather driving 80mph that the range will only be around 200 miles. That’s quite a bit different than 350 under perfect conditions.

Interstate with DC fast charging. Limited to 150kW charging speeds at the time. When you are trying to cover distance in an EV you drive the same routes you’d drive in an ICE vehicle and those don’t include the backroads unless you are trying to avoid congestion.

You’ll have to give more details. The margins look SWEET.

Only peasants have to go outside when it’s cold. Rich people go to their winter palace in California.

I don’t abide by any of the “rules” and I do fine. Seat heater is recommended over heating the cabin as well.
