I have a sillcock with no interior shutoff, except the whole house… block wall, through the studs, corner of the basement ‘kitchen’, under the concrete floor and up the wall somewhere….


I’ve rebuilt the internals a couple times, just hope it never ‘dies’.

 

And if it does?

 

Tear out the counter, tear out the cabinets, bust up the wall, cut through the slab, bust up another wall somewhere, etc. or….




solder a cap on it and buy a hose that reaches the other side of the house.

My next (last) house is gonna have exposed utilities, for everything, no joke… conduit, ducts, plumbing all of it.

I found a wire with a screw once. Hope to never do that again. Good thing it was in the garage and all I had to do was remove some plywood to expose it. So I agree
