It happened, 2007 FZ6 with only 2700 miles. Rides like a dream, and looks like it came right off the lot. I'm stoked! :D

just a couple of things tbh
Also I have a question here guys! For anyone that has a old carb bike or has owned a drz help lol

I went from mo to Lawrence ks today it’s not to terribly far but the issue is over half the drive there the bike has no issue it was fine but once I got closer to Lawrence anytime we can to a stop sign or stop light the bike would stall in first or neutral? The bike would idle fine and run fine no odd sounds nothing just would stall in first or neutral out there? So I figured oh joy the damn thing jumped time again but maybe by only a tooth maybe? But continued the ride and would just expect it to stall at coming to a stop… but here is the r odd part when we would be slowing down to stop and rest because mopeds haha the bike would be fine no stall no nothing it would sit and idle for 5 mins until I turned it off? We couldn’t find anything so we ignored it to continue the ride. Well when I was riding home the bike did the same bs until I was almost into kc maybe 20mins away from kc? And the bike acted normal again!? No more stalling nothing it just ran good again! I got stuck at a light for 5mins and it never stalled I eventually just ran the light because I was in a shitty part of town and was tired enough… but still once I got close to kc and the entire ride home to my house no more issues!?!? And the elevation difference isn’t anything crazy from mo to ks so how and why did this happen haha

Pretty happy with how things are going to look. Brake hubs will be gold to match.

Found out a couple of weeks ago I was going to get a bonus from work. Same as every year I started looking at used bikes. I’ve really been looking for an EVO Softail or Road King. The shop I bought my Sportster from had an EVO Deluxe on Craigslist, so I went by earlier this week to take a look. Unfortunately the Deluxe was gone, but he had just picked up a single owner 2004 Electra Glide Ultra (minus tour pack) with 11k miles. I brought it home yesterday. It does appear to have a lot of excess old man accessories (every single light had a visor), so those will take some time to remove. B1AB6CCB-3DD8-4F21-891C-F13EA5C6013A.jpg

The eagle on the front fender will have to stay until I can find a color matched fender, but the rotor covers will be the next to go.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I paid $4500 including tax, tag, and title…

Man, I feel that. So many things want mods, so little mod money to go around. If someone wants to hand me like, $5K for mods I'd be appreciative

4Runner needs new calipers and rotors all around and I need to keep working on swapping out worn out suspension bits
F800GS needs new tires (half bought) an oil and air filter change (bought), valves done, new coolant hoses, my aftermarket exhaust re-packed, and ideally rear shock and fork springs swapped
CB750 I'd love to replace the airbox, rejet and drill the slides in the carbs with it, go to a 4-2-1 exhaust instead of the 4-1 that's on there now, swap wiring over to a motogadget system, and in a perfect world do a front fork swap to a cbr600rr or 1000rr front end. Plus I just bought that brake caliper for it
the CT90 needs me to fix the oil cooler (or remove it..) and then I think this winter I want to strip the paint again and go cement grey with it (and maybe gold wheels)
Navi would be fun to replace the variator and clutch/bell, then do an intake, exhaust, and new tires, but it's lowest on the totem pole right now.

Oh, and we're still hoping to buy a house in the next six months or so haha

That list sounds like a little more than mine.

Ive got bypasses to add to the truck, in addition to revalving my coilovers (hopefully both next weekend). Selling a bunch of parts that im not really using, will help with that cost i hope.

I also am finding out, i like projects. So in that spirit, I started a new one. Building a diesel heater for truck winter camping. Hopefully ill finish it in the winter so i can use it

Then infinite ideas for my gfc, just need to make a list to get them out, and the adjust the list to which are important.. $5k should cover me as well.

I am also saving for a house, but have 4.5 years left or so. I want to pay off this one, and save for a down payment for the next. Few friends are buying project cars/trucks/bikes, and as much as Id like one or all of them, i got my mind focused on other goals.

Seriously! I have about 6k on mine so far, and there's still a decent amount of tread. I'm starting to square my tire off though, outside tread is probably twice as deep as my center tread right now, and I feel like I'm starting to notice it on the handling side. It's falling into corners real quick once I hit that edge instead of gracefully transitioning haha I'm waiting until the fronts are back in stock (currently have a motoz tractionator gps on the front that's been through two rears) and then I'll change both, so I probably have another thousand or so miles before I do a swap realistically?

Edited to add: my bike came with K60 scouts, which actually wore like iron and had over 10k on them when I pulled them off, but those things were so sketchy in the wet. I haven't had anywhere near the same issues with the trailmax missions, they grip wet or dry

    None... yet.
Track day turned out wonderful, despite the very cold start! Sun was out all day and got the track warmed up by mid-morning. Several bad crashes in those "other" groups with one guy needing an airlift to the hospital, so a lot of down time. Still managed to get in 6 twenty minute sessions and that was plenty!

Plenty of space, which was really nice!

    IMG_2346.jpg

Met and hung with the owner of this cool machine-

    IMG_2347.jpg

He should've been with the intermediate group but 42 hp and a really bad suspension held him back. Toward the end of the day, one of the coaches came over and said "If you push that bike any harder, you WILL high side." Said he could see the bike bucking and twisting under braking into sharp turns. I was like "" but also a little "".

My high points were, in no particular order: I didn't make any bonehead mistakes, got good feedback from a coach after my first and last sessions (good lines, noticeably faster as the day went on, could go faster in certain corners), ended the day NOT completely exhausted, and my knees/lower back didn't bother me too much (thank you, Thera-gun!!!)

So I replaced the brake pedal and now the light is always on as if I'm braking, not just the normal running light. I put the stock pedal back on this morning and it's the same. Could a bad bulb cause that?

The light doesn't get brighter with the front or rear brake pressed like it should.
