@Cwopinger , congratulations on the new family additions.
Hi Crew, I'm on my way to work in a few minutes.
This outage has been crazy, crazy because I've only had one day of madness. My guess is we're just running behind schedule but no one is talking about it. Usually by 3-4 days in, I got all kinds of people wanting work done and it will stay that way until division swap where there is a lull for a couple days then busy again.
I haven't been online with my phone much because that's too much a dead giveaway that I should be doing something o_O
They can find all kinds of nasty jobs to go and do but they aren't machine shop duties.
I just keep checking the schedule status for work that I know is coming but hasn't happened yet. That and other pidley jobs here n there. Last night just drilled 2 holes in a plate for bearing puller/ strong-back.
Stay safe everyone, and enjoy rest of weekend.
    Tomorrow is my night off:bananadance:

Remember that tree that punched a hole in the roof?
I felt it was time to settle the score and excavated the chipper out of the shed.

    :censored: Mice...
    No damage fortunately.

    KIMG2508.jpg

    Take that tree! :laser:

    KIMG2511.jpg

I really enjoy running this as it is so satisfying to take a pile of brush and make it disappear.
It will do about a foot per second of average material, just cruising not pushing.
There are about 20 cubic feet of chips there, it filled my 10 cf cart heaping twice.

Close up of the chips. The brighter chips are fresh cut wood, the brown is stuff that has been down awhile. The fresh wood seems to chip faster.

Yesterday was a yard day, today was roof... I don't like ladders or roofs any more.

So probably like most Wrenchmen I have an assortment of hammers.

I happened to grab this :censored: piece of crap and managed to pull one nail (out of less than noble wood) when this happened....

    KIMG2514.jpg

They say " getting there is half the adventure" -- I had already crawled on to the roof shaking like a wet dog, so now I'm addition to being terrified I'm mad enough to spit nails too.

Through the weekend Daisy, the yard foreman, has been my constant companion, today I caught her climbing the ladder, she was about 6 feet up when I grabbed her. No picture as by the time I got the phone she would have been on the roof -- crazy little cat.

We cut a pretty big half dead limb off one of my trees today. But, the wood went to a friend to burn in her wood stove, so no waste at all...

Its gotta dry out, but nothing will really go to waste besides the small little limbs. Still gotta cut those up and burn them, but it was getting late and cutting into my beer time

As a millenial, I can say there's enough corn fed country boys to make up the slack created by these limp wristed sally he/them/they fellers. Making a buck on the sweat off the brow type guys. It's the next generation we should all be worried about. They'll be thinking the computer is the only way to fix my car. And they might be right.
