It's pretty wild. Just to be clear though, I don't hit ANY of those features. The stuff I actually hit are much, MUCH more tame. It was just my first time doing lift access and seeing that park up close for the first time is neat!

Not surprised. I was in Moab first week of Oct and there was rain / minor flooding every night - most storm tracks were right over the La Sals

I went to that 8600 feet movie premier last week, the one where the guy rode up the whole enchilada.

It was an actual movie, an hour and a half long, not 40 min like i kinda thought. so it was longer than i thought. it was pretty good. mostly about mental motivation and good mental health but focuses on how that helped him with Brayden athletic accomplishments.

Pretty sure he did the climb last year in October, maybe October 18.

I'm not sure how to do spoilers, or if this is a spoiler, but it snowed that night and was completely unrideable the next day well into late spring. so i guess this is the time of year when the upper part gets closed to everyone?

It's time to dust the Gloworms out for the after work rides.

@flipnidaho yep! Time for lights! I’ve used them a few times already on the rides to the brewery that had us coming up later in the evening. But, even this morning on my walk, it was after 730 the sun finally came up over the mountains. Just a few weeks and the night rides will start in the light and end in the dark. Outbound lights are up for the task!

I'm looking forward to seeing that movie! It's a ridiculously impressive feat.

It can start snowing up there at any point now (~11,000 ft at the pass). I think it's usually OK to ride through the end of October, but definitely starts to get unlikely to ride in November. Looking like clear weather for the next 7-10 days so hoping it'll be in good shape by the time we're back down there this weekend!

the movie was super good. i was at a pre-screening premier in colorado springs. the audience was a lot of rock shox employees and other industry people(bike shops, other component companies, distributors, trail advocates). I didn't hear or see anything about the group rides or raffles mentioned in the pink bike post. it may have been at the after party i didnt go to (movie and Q&A ended around 930 pm on a thursday. i had to wrap some stuff up for work before friday morning).

but, having an audience into the scene was cool. a lot of cheering and could feel the vibes from the crowd. i wanted to ask if he could have done it on a different bike with different components, but it was all sram/rock shox and didnt wanna get jumped by all the people that designed and sold the stuff lol. i did get a free flight attendant shirt and a couple stickers

depends. I've been on burro pass at halloween before. later start. It's really a roll of the dice this time of year.

Ouch! Hope you're ok, and possibly getting checked out if any concussions symptoms are present.

Thats an SP2. The SP1 comes with Avocado Green (*Growers Green*) color or whatever they're calling in now.

@flipnidaho I've been using Glowworms for years. I think they are the best light out there. Of course everyones opinion may differ but for me thats all I'll use. I like to see well and keep the speeds up.

I'm a working stiff also and weekday rides are regulated to evenings/nights...
