Got a P0306 code about 500 miles ago and replaced the coils and spark plugs with TRQ coils and plugs. Now I'm getting the code again, and having an obvious misfire after starting the truck but it goes away after driving a bit. I don't see any obvious signs of a head gasket leak. I ordered an OE replacement injector which I'm hoping fixes the problem, but I'm wondering if TRQ coils or plugs are known for going after such few miles?

Does it only happen after sitting over night?

Usually a sign of an early headgasket, the coolant will mist into the cylinder slowly as the engine cools off and causes a misfire in the morning. It will clear out and the spark plug won't show evidence sometimes.

Whats super frustrating is detecting it using the chemical method doesn't really work. You need to pull the plug and watch the cylinder with a borescope and compare to a known good.

Not overnight, but after cooling down for a few hours so what you're saying makes sense. Is it early enough to be fixed with K-Seal?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope, I have never seen mechanic in a can work, you risk making other issues worse.

Honestly I would start by monitoring coolant level and maybe even changing the rad cap.

Has a new radiator cap as of last week. Coolant is going down. Definitely head gasket I'm thinking. F*ck
