We got VOIP phones a few years before I retired, the clarity was uncanny, it sounded like the other person was literally speaking in your ear and you could hear the peoples facial hair (men mostly ;)) as it brushed against the phone.

Part 2: The company strove to be the cheapest... Thus we had the cheapest phones, internet, server and installers -- cheapness being the mother of malfunction the phones, along with the server, were down a lot.

That wasn’t the funnest thing I’ve done today but I love being a machinist.

I'm over here plugging cables into a box and you're designing that from scratch.

I wish they would let me machine metal. I would love to do stuff like this. We have an in-house machine shop but the old school machinist won’t let anybody touch his stuff.

I didn't tell the story of parking at the fair Saturday. The fair lot was full, everywhere else around had signs up $20 to park, all full. We wound up between lot 47 & 48ish, I think. Dude waved us into his back yard and charged us $10. This is not a good neighborhood to be in, especially after dark.

We came back it was dark around 9ish, dude was drunk that waved us in and tried to tell me we weren't boxed in while a woman is cussing him up one side and down the other cause she's boxed in worse than us.

Our only option other than waiting was drive through his neighbors front yard. I scoped it out, told my wife where to go and she said "get in".

I told her don't stop cause the neighbor had his front door open and he was sitting on the couch but once we got out he could deal with drunk man as to what was up.

As she floors it I have to point out the bird feeder she didn't see, while our kids are wondering what we are doing.

We try to set good examples, we also try to make memories :burnrubber:

We will never park in someone's yard there again :D
