Tire resonance on the grooves?

The whole truck shakes. You ever feel the frame flex at the point where it goes from box to C channel? That's pretty much what it is at like 5-8hz. I notice a similar vibration in the mini and the van in the section of highway but the truck it is way more pronounced. The first time I did it I thought the rear axle/tire was coming off (since I had just did the work lol). It has to be the rear shocks being on the stiff side I would guess. No weight and stiffer rear end I guess.

I rolled into it in first today and the 35s broke free

 

Not enough weight in the back. Needs an RTT and a couple of dogs...

 

Not gonna happen! When the rain and hail rolled in on Friday I just went in the van, put dinner on the stove and popped onto the couch and read a book. I can't imagine going back to a rtt....

The draft environmental assessment for the Labyrinth Rims / Gemini Bridges travel plan in Moab was published in September, which kicked off a 30-day comment period that ends tomorrow, Friday October 7. This is probably the most important travel management plan of the decade and will decide the fate of most of Moab's most famous 4x4 trails.

It is crucial that you add a comment opposing alternatives B and C and supporting alternatives A first, D second. Ask the BLM to keep all of the routes mentioned below open instead of closing them.

2. Click on the green "Participate Now" button.
3. Your comment only needs to state the following:
• I support Alternative A, first, D second
• Thank you
• OPTIONAL: I use the trails in the travel plan.

I knew I like them for a reason!




I mean... I actually would. Would work great for my commute as I can charge it at work. Drive it year round. And be great for Billings runs. But....I don't have a 100 grand for a freaking vehicle. Idk where people are finding all this money to buy $100,000 cars and $1,000,000 homes. Not sure Ill be able to afford gas anyways next year after building my stupid house haha

 

Financing is a hell of a drug, it has convinced billions of people that they can live outside their means permanently.

 

I still don't get it. I'm finaincing a home and still don't get it. Going to end up near 45% my income just to pay the mortgage at this rate.

 

every day i have an existential crisis and plan for the day i can escape this depressing hell cycle called "life" everyone is stuck in

 

I have a home that is valued at over $700K, not a lot in today's world, but it's paid for. I own two vehicles that are paid for. I have essentially zero debt. And I did it without the help from family wealth. Am I wealthy? Hell no. But I do have flexibility. I do have options.

But...

And it is a big but...

I did start working at a fairly young age (16). And worked for (as long as I was allowed to) 52 years. It was definitely the hard way to do it.

I am not bragging here, all I am saying is, if I can do it, it can be done. Just got to be smart about it. With any luck at all, I'll live long enough to reap some of the rewards.

 

Some days I think about selling it all and taking this show on the road in the van. Bet I could do that for quite a while before the money ran out.....then what?
