I've checked the lever, and both switches(the one that pushes up at the master cylinder and one that has a spring attached to the inside of the lever) for the rear. Everything is hooked up correctly. I'm gonna try to replace the bulb and if that doesn't work......I'll call the shop.

All stock wiring and connections. Nothing spliced into it.

Pull off the connector at the end of the switch and put a multimeter on it to check the continuity? My bet would be it's stuck closed somehow.

Have you lubricated the pivot point? Doesn't have to hang up much to keep the brake light on.

question for you guys who have/do ride track

Are radiator/oil cooler guards a good idea, or overkill/unnecessary since tracks are typically groomed and maintained very well?

I think they are a good idea, they are hell of alot cheaper than a new rad IMO

The track is much less hazardous re: debris than the regular street. If you encounter debris on the track, chances a radiator guard is going to be of small concern. Still, I tend to go with "better to have it and not need it..."

I think you are talking about a street track. I don’t know when the last time a street track was groomed

I am. I'm thinking of this weekend when they busted out the street sweeper/vacuum to clear off bits of plastic and rubber from one of the wrecks. I guess "groomed" would be more of a dirt track term, yes?

Dang, lucky. When I rode a back woods street track they didn’t have any of that.

Yeah, it's nice but it sure makes street riding very unexciting... for a few weeks anyway, and then I forget how awesomely fast :)rofl:) I was at the track and revert back to the mean...

I almost bought one once. Guy said it had a clean title and I showed up with cash. Ended up having a salvage title so I walked away.

Good looking out, thank you! I went through the bike today, front to back, top to bottom (had the day off) and couldn't find anything of concern. Outside of the tires having a bit of a flat spot from riding straight (I guess? They're still the stock tires with a good amount tread left) I think it's damn near perfect. Knock on wood.

Check the manufacture date on the tires. Being a 2007, even if they have hood tread left, might be time to change the tires anyway. Dry rot will ruin your day on two wheels.
