Damn I screwed up!!!!!


I had made some adjustments to the handle design on my knife a few months ago. I forgot to re-center the hardware holes after making the change. Now I have to redo two of my aluminum fixture pallets.

 

I know how that feels,

We go to automotive events in Carlisle Pa, parking cars is a big industry around the fairgrounds, people have it down like a well oiled machine.

I have been parking with the same folks, now 3ed generation, for about 30 years.

 

Mowing one of the in town lawns today, the neighbors mower is broken so I mowed his too.

Inadvertently mulched up his 2 year olds golf ball, the soft variety.

Stopped at The Mart for some replacements, nobody was home so they will just find some bright new balls.

Mowing is way easier for me than snow.

 

I know this thing is pretty, fun to drive and even reasonable on fuel -- but for some things the old F-250 was just better...

 

Just took some pics of the opener on the real Lely. It’s gonna be hard to make all that so small, may have to come up with my own design for a toy.

What is that handle made out of, almost looks like some sort of phenolic.

Yes. It’s micarta. Layers of fabric with phenolic resin.

 

We used to machine a lot of phenolic years ago, that’s some tough stuff to be what it is.

 

What scale ratio did you build the miniature to? Should you have gone with a larger scale?
