Tuned Eric’s 2019 Tacoma Sport with the KDMax-Pro+XT Sport throttle. He was using a pedal commander and was able to disconnect it after the tune. Happy with the tune!

A bit far for me sadly. Would the remote process also involve me getting the cable and vftuner software on top of the tune files? If so I think the DIY route makes a lot of sense.

 

Alex would offer a bundle with his remote services to get you fully setup and flashed as well as any future support needs. The bundle price he would provide would include the license/cable/KDMAX Pro files for your truck so you would not need to make an additional purchase elsewhere. It really makes sense for owners who either want the hardware in hand and/or are not near a local tuning resource so the cost and time of a meet up is just not practical. I know Alex has specific Canadian pricing so please reachout out directly to him for a quote if you would like to get more specifics. also curious. I think the nearest tuner near me is a couple hundred miles away and no ones really reviewed for the 2.7 so it makes me a bit hesitant.

 

Yes KDMAX has released 2.7 tune files for last couple months. Page 1 has list of what currently available. The couple reviews I’ve seen have been positive.

 

We have tunes available for the 2.7's.
Support is available for the following years.
2016 - Automatic
2017 - Automatic
2018 - Automatic
2020 - Automatic
Future software updates will hopefully be adding more coverage for all years and the Manuals.

 

@Otterstuff - as Dave mentioned, we have that noted support today and will happily provide extended to other years/trims as we get tuning platform support!

 

Michaels just starting to break in his '21 TRD OR with just 32K on the OD. Luckily he was able to stop by for a local appointment on a weekend trip out to VB.
His setup with 285s can now get out of its own way with KDMAX Pro+XT and our "normal" throttle option.
