What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I figured they were identical. No reason to change something that small/already in production. Real problem is getting over my fear of having the truck entirely on jacks/stands while I do the work.

What fender flares are you guys running? Would you have a link to them?

 

Finally got around to drilling and notching my USOffroad winch mount to accept the thru-bolt for the BAMF FBRBs.

 

It's 10 to 20 degrees cooler outside than it's been in the past couple months, so I finally got around to installing my LCA skids.

 

Just cut my front fenders on my truck. I obviously lost the splash guards but is there a replacement for that? Whats the cons of no splash guards? I live in the PNW so I’m looking for alternatives to replace the oems

 

Just do 1 side at a time. Jack stand under frame with the jack also there for safety. Since I added a driver side lean spacer I did driver side first. Adding the spacer was tight. Drop the sway bar and remove the sway bar end link. Remove the outer tie rod end. Not a bad job. I tried working around the tie rod. That was a mistake. No shortcuts. Just remove it for ease of installation. Did you take off a nut and try it. It won't hurt a thing to do that. Just put it back on until you do the swap.

 

Both of us have the xspx edition which came with them (a southeast Toyota package). Pretty sure they are just the “bushwhacker” style flares

Also did you cut your pinch weld? If so you’ll want to throw some seam sealer there for sure.

I've helped a friend build a pizza planet truck or two out of proper older toyota pickups. I loved driving it around, everyone loved it. I figure I can do the same with mine. I just need to learn how to wrap on my own, yo.

I had the same concerns mainly with water getting into the intake on the side where it sticks out of the inner fender but after talking to a few member that have said they never got any water in there, I just sent it. Only thing I’d have to do it replace the filter a little more often than usual.

 

Well I WAS gonna upgrade my headlights but my dumbass ordered the wrong bulb type. Also my CEL came on randomly yayyy
