Jscan but Toyota equivalent?

I've owned and still own a Jeep that I've modified since new and recently got into the Taco world. I haven't seen much info on this but if we're restricted by Toyota, hasn't someone come up with a Jscan equivalent app? For those that aren't familiar with Jscan its an obd based app that you can read and write to any module installed in the vehicle as long as its supported by the Jeep and app. Jscan does not allow re-writing to the modules if it does not support the feature so bricking a module or ecu is not possible.

I'd love to add remote start, radio still plays when engine shut off, and a lot of nav and odo screen mods. I know there are work arounds for all of this but rewriting Toyota nany features is so elegant compared to rewiring.

Has this been a topic of discussion or attempted before? Obviously Jeep and Toyota communication protocols aren't the same but there are always loop holes in programming.

 

Your description makes it sound like they cracked the security of all the modules and reversed engineered the code for custom flashes.

A read of the website, seems like a Chrysler only version of Carista. Nothing more than standard OBD stuff plus customization of built in settings.

Toyota has the same stuff, door chimes volume, light blinking, seat belt warnings, auto headlight timer, etc...

 

All I know is that I have total control of my Jeep. I'll have to check out carista but by the looks of it it's super super basic in comparison.

Both Jeep and Toyota are great platforms imo just ones more reliable lol but Jeep has the strong arm with module customization.

Heck, download the app. It's free and it has a full demo version incase you're not near a Jeep and navigate to the Adaptation tab. I'll see if the Dev would be interested or in progress with the equivalent for Toyota.

 

The adaptations are just the built in settings Jeep has in the modules already.
