It's no big deal, these things get weird sometimes with random people sleeping in their trucks at random places. The last few years the campground owners kind of let us do whatever as long as we're not disturbing other guests.

Not disturbing the other guests is really the only hard and fast rule. We rent enough sites as the group, they tolerate our shit.

So I'm going to do one ribeye (10lbs) of carne asada for tacos/burritos/whatever you want to do with them (put it in your food hole!). I think @Skell is bringing salsa? Anyone else wanna grab lettuce/tomato/cheese/tortillas?

I'll have a second 10lb ribeye for steaks if someone prefers a steak. Beyond that I'll have no spices, no butter, no oil, nothing. I'll have some pots and pans and a propane stove if anyone needs to reheat anything.

On a side note, it's going to be pretty chilly Friday night, so dress warm.

Not fun in stop and go traffic, but otherwise it did smarten up the response of the truck.

I opted for the lower throttle response of the two with off roading in mind. It took some getting used to in Pittsburgh traffic when I first got it done. I haven't been able to drive it really since. Having a 6MT and the gear staying locked may be the difference. It is nice but I worry about 4lo. Hopefully getting at least a half assed alignment tomorrow. Then I just need to get things around for the event.

I'll be arriving early Friday morning, for the day. heading home in the afternoon as I have to work early Saturday.
I've never been to AOAA so i'd like to tag along with some folks who are running on Friday, if possible.

As this is my daily driver, I'd like to stick to the greens. Not my first time 4 wheeling (used to do it in an Amigo and Wrangler), but the first time wheeling the truck so I need to get a feel for it.

@SR-71A I think is getting there for Friday with a few others?

    upload_2022-10-11_9-7-42.jpg

Do you have sliders? If you have sliders, you're A+ for blues. Without sliders, stick to greens. Honestly the only need I had for the sliders was bouncing off trees with the bumpouts, but I did a lot of that, at least in the greens/blues we were on last year. Could have done it without, but much slower.

I have some "sliders" I got from Extreme Terrain and factory skids. hoping to have some "newer" tires by this friday too.

I'm looking forward to running some trails either way. Haven't had the time/resources to get off road in 6 years or so.

Oh damn factory skids, and I'm assuming when you say "sliders" you mean nerf bars?

    Yeah stick to green

    Edit: this happened last year.
    upload_2022-10-11_10-16-42.jpg

Following @Arcticelf through, he went left, the black first gen went right, I thought "I mean, I guess I just go straight" - kapow. Came down on a rock at JUST the right spot.

Will be easy to pull. But it's been a year and I forgot about it until just now.

    ouch....

    I have these:

I put "sliders" in quotes as they don't seem that "beefy".
