Haven’t had much time to do anything in my truck because I’ve been busy practicing my welding. But I did add this to hold my water bottle. It’s the Static Climbing chalk bag that all the 3rd gen guys use to hold water bottles. I just zip tied it to my molle panel.

Did you use Loctite on the fasteners for the taillights? The tail light housings are made of ABS plastic and Loctite will essentially absorb into the ABS and break down the polymer chains that make up the ABS, causing the ABS to fail in a manner similar to what is shown in your pictures.

Ask me how I know.

I repaired mine with JB Weld lol.

Don’t want a one piece. More likely to rough that up off road.

You should have gotten brackets with your shocks.

Bilstein shocks all around and add a leaf in the rear
I was planning on buying a decked system to sleep on in my campershell in my Tacoma and found out how much they cost and was way out of budget. Looked online and didn’t see a ton of info on building one so I did it and I thought I’d take photos and measurements and share them. Also I plan to add outdoor carpet to it to make it more comfortable than just wood.

Long bed tacoma sleeping platform and drawers

My drawers are not connected to the sleeping platform so if you want you can remove them

Bed is made of 3/4 inch plywood. I purchased two sheets 4x8 and cut them down to have a seem directly in the center of the bed so if I was going alone I could remove one side and still have plenty of room for my sleeping bag and stuff. Also cut the corner by the tailgate to get six feet in length. The bed supports are 2x8 with a small notch cut in the corners for them to fit in the slotted bed sides. A single 1x6 sitting on the fender wells for additional support as I am roughly 240lbs. The drawers are 6 foot long. 21 inches wide and 8 inches tall and are made of 1/2 inch plywood and I used 3/4x3/4 dowels to hold them together. You can chose how ever to hold them together or build them this is how I built them and it suits me the best.

    Parts list
    1. 2x8-2 (6ft long, cut down to 57.5” )
    2. 1x6-1 (6ft long, cut down to 57.5” )
    3. 1/2inch plywood- two 4x8 sheets (the dimensions are 6’x21”-bottom, 6’x8”-sides, 21”x8”-end pieces )
    4. 3/4inch plywood- two 4x8 sheets (dimensions are 6’x 28-1/2”)
    5. 3/4x3/4 dowels- 12 three foot long dowels
    6. 1 box of #8 3/4 screws for drawers. I bought the 100count and used 98 of them

I preformed all my cuts with a battery powered skill saw and a drilled pilot holed for screws with my drill and installed screws with a impact

Total cost for all lumber and screws was $340

Also I am using a iPhone and having trouble adding photos. So if someone knows how I will gladly edit this post and add them

Nothing too crazy, added a Tufskinz carbon fiber to the console. Trying to copy the 4Runner
