https://www.crutchfield.ca/ has a ton of good stuff. All real reviews and if you input your vehicle info, it’ll show you stuff that’s a direct fit. They also send you instructions to install, and if needed adapters.

They're designed for that. There's a tip-over sensor, an oxygen sensor and they're designed to not give off a lot of carbon monoxide. But, of course, you should have a CO sensor just in case.

Sure, if it touches something flammable, all bets are off, but assuming no user error, it should be fine.

The space needs to be ventilated to prevent oxygen starvation. CO poisoning hasn't been an issue - they burn pretty clean. I always run a CO alarm with digital readout, and it has never displayed above 0.

Fire is a greater risk like Saturnine mentioned. The heater sends a lot of heat upward even on the lowest setting, despite the radiant panel facing forward. I warped the a tonneau panel at Partridge Lake in 2020, hence the reason for the fabricated deflector. I've also put heat-reflective insulation under that tonneau panel.

OK...is it just me? Both of ya have an inverter in the box...electric blankets start at 50 W then range up to 150 W...and they're snuggly to boot

Why not pack one of those?

AND...this would not be of concern in Maui

Inverter uses truck battery and shuts off after awhile. And most blankets shut off after about 30 mins. Then you have to get out and start over. Not ideal.

I dunno man...my electric blanket runs all nite.

I'd be perturbed if I had to wake up to wake it up every 30 mins. Sounds like a design flaw

It's intentional; people can't be trusted to be left to their own devices. Most do, some don't.

with a stock battery you are gonna need booster cables and a buddy to start your truck in the morning with a 100W running all night
