Not sure why I am a dick here. It's a really nice mount. That was my OP but people were like "OH my buddy can make it for a dollar". So?

For the rest of us that don't find it interesting to fab a CB mount it is a really great mount. Go price stainless plate and powder coating then say that what Rago wants for a very low volume product is unreasonable.

I love threads when OP gets all defensive because someone dared to have a differing opinion on the internet.

Not a differing opinion. It was a 'you are stupid for paying' thing. Not really an opinion.

You see a beehive, do you go fuck with it (and get upset that you got stung) or do you just let it be? :bananadead:

BUT ONLY if it's mounted on a Rago Fab antenna mount!

Otherwise, any other option will fail.

Came here to say that rago antenna amounts suck. They rub on the tailgates.

Of course I only saw this one time and it wasn't even on my truck so maybe the guy just messed up. Lol.

I’ll add an opinion. I don’t have the ability to fab and I don’t usually go for Rago as their stuff tends to be quite a bit more than competitors so I shop elsewhere.

PS: I’m lost and have wandered out of the comfort of the 3rd gen section. :anonymous:

That’s because he likely didn’t have Rago TM bed stiffeners.

What a sh t show. Op was just offering some feedback on a mount. A lot of aftermarket stuff sucks and doesnt fit. Now someone may have a little more confidence in this product.

I happen to like the way the Rago mount looks and would buy it for that reason alone. I suppose that makes me stupid because I should change up my friends and get one who fabricates steel.

BTW I am very interested in fabrication but I pay professionals to execute my ideas. I would really like to know how some home fabricated stiffners and antenna mounts are executed. Not joking here-always like to see fresh ideas.

We have the generation specific forums, a fabrication forum, why not add a new forum and call it 'dbag central' anything non productive goes here.

Man those things have gone up since 2014, bought similar paired brackets from CBI for $35 shipped. Dunno that I'd pay double for a single mount, yikes.
