That harness goes to the middle cab light as far as I can tell. There are foam block or something on the driver side of this overhead panel. I don’t see a way to run it toward the a-pillar.

Anyone have photos of the underside of the headliner in the front? It may help for routing the wire to know what we're dealing with.

    See my build page!
Ok, just installed mine, but instead of being dim with the lights on, they are just not on. They are only working as courtesy lights.

    1. Check to make sure they’re just not super dim and you’re mistaking them for off. Night mode is very dim during the day and hard to see.

    2. Verify you don’t have high and low backward.

    3. Make sure your door is closed and the doors are locked. Then place the light stalk into parking or headlight mode. The courtesy light takes priority.

    4. If 1-3 don’t resolve, bypass the PWM and plug your LOW connector coming from the harness directly into the first bar light. Then turn your light stalk on. If they light up this will tell us if you as well have a bummed PWM.

@kmorgan3 , I checked VLED.com and did not find the R44 new version to be sold alone. Is it not available or not sold alone?

I Installed the fronts yesterday and ordered the rears today. I had ambient lighting on my prior SUV and really like having it again. I’ve been playing around with the colors - and my apologies for being somewhat new and learning how to navigate these threads - but I posted to the “what have you done today” thread a couple of times… Here are links to those posts if interested.

Following the advice of @kmorgan3 and the trails blazed by @TheCochese @Devious6 @playdixie @ljerr2 on this thread, I dove right in and installed my rear kit under the rear seats. Thanks to those mentioned, install went smoothly for the most part.

Just connect a vled max pod to the rear center console

I’m just not a fan of the rear seat mounting

Yup. Just ran / tucked it back across the passenger, under the center console to the rear portion.

How did you attach the extension? Both LAMPS terminate in male pins.

VLED sells extensions - that's what I used to run from the passenger side footwell light, through the door sill chase and into the rear storage box to mount the lights under my rear seats.
