Hi, so supercharged manual on 32" wheels and want more giddy up and go. Planning to regear and the shop recommended 4.56 gears but everything I'm reading says better for 34-35" tires. Want quicker acceleration but also drive on highways semi regularly cruising at about 80 mph. Would I be too wound out? I have no problems running at higher rpm than the average person.

Have searched and read about a dozen different threads but my situation is a little different as my truck is just a fun street truck and not an overlander delio.

    Any input appreciated!

4.56 is way too high for 32" tires in my opinion. I'd go 4.10 or 4.30.
I have 4.56 with the 6sp. Had 34's, was over geared for the HWY.
Switched to 35's and still higher RPMs than desired on HWY.
    I'm around 3k RPM at 70mph (GPS).

Thanks! Yeah, I'm getting the general vibe from everyone that 4.56 is just too much on 32". Will probably be looking at 4.30.

Or put in 4.56 and have a great excuse to move to 35s?!
34's are way easier to fit though and would match some 4.30s...

I'm in an automatic, but I know the feeling.

    1. Install skinny 33s and immediately notice they're smaller than advertised.
    2. Get convinced to regear to 4.56 since I'm adding lockers anyway.
    3. Drive on highway.
    4. Realize that I'm overgeared.
    5. Measure the 33s and discover they're closer to 32" than 32.5" after a year.
    6. Drive to Colorado and back, on highways with an 80mph speed limit.
    7. Realize that I'm way overgeared.
    8. Play around with the Grimm calculator.
    9. Conclude that 34s or skinny 35s are likely coming in 2023.
    10. Profit?
