I am considering fiberglass fenders, but I am curious what the actual width is. I understand that they are 4" to 6" wider than factory, but what is the actual width measure from the inner lip at the hood to the widest point of the fender?

Maybe this is a pointless measurement, but my current fenders have no flares and are cut to clear 37s. I just cant stand the holes in them and the cut isnt satisfactory to me, so I thought fiberglass might be an option, however I do not wont the fenders to be wider than my tires, which may require more trimming.

I hope this makes sense. Anyone got fiberglass willing to measure?

I just removed my 2nd gen double cab short bed fiberglass fenders. Here’s my +3.5 dirt king kit with the same methods you have.

Thank you for sharing. Why did you remove them? Looks like I will need to trim them a bit to clear 37s

Did the 3rd gen conversion, my 37’s would rub on the silver glass and are gonna rub even more with this new glass lol. Time to trim a little. ✂️

Awesome! That is another option I am considering. What support brackets did you need to make? I did the 2015 conversion and most parts were bolt on. I am also curious if my current bumper will clear.

McNeil sells the brackets you’ll need to run it. You need to source your own, headlights, grille bumper and also figure out a way to mount your hood.

I wonder if I can just trim everything up high enough and run my current bumper

Yes, for the rear you’ll need your own tailgate, rear tail lights, the rear tail light plugs/connectors, and the tailgate hinge on the passenger side and a rear bumper. The 2nd gen tailgate will work but looks goofy lol

If you get a chance, could you measure the distance from the fender lip, where the hood is, to the outside edge of the fender? I am wondering what this width is.

Hard to tell but it looked around 9.5-10” from fender lip to edge
