    OZ-T thanks. all i saw was some lacquer and a little brite dip and a little clear anodize. i wasn't sure what to think but i guess one of those is a fancy word for clear coat

    09Taco i have had a raw one on since i got my 08 and now its on my 10. i have never had any trouble with theft BUT the shop guys at every dealer i've been to just :drool: and :pout: and i just :bananadance:

    This is what it says about the polished emblems in the OP :



    " This is the first time a polished option is being offered. The polish option consists of hand-polish using a polish wheel to a mirror-finish over the natural aluminum. After the emblem has been polished a layer of lacquer is applied to bring out the most shine from the natural aluminum. Finally brite dip is applied and clear anodize to preserve the shine over time. "
