A local shop installed Cardone. I needed it back on the road today and had to settle for a local shop that demanded to use Cardone. This shop has replaced racks on 3 other 100s that I know. Unfortunately, my good shop in LIT is always booked up two weeks out. So my plan to get back on the trail this weekend totally backfired.

This morning, I got out and found the rack issue. The installer forgot to bolt down the rack. So the rack started twisting up and popped out the bushings when I was turning on a curve. I called the shop. The manager apologized profusely. They are sending a wrecker. At least it's an installer issue and not a mechanical problem with the rack.

That's amazing, and the payout would've been monumental had you wrecked.

I wonder if this could have caused any damage to the mounting points. Usually isn't good when things are shifting around like that.

It twisted up the u-joints as the one inside the cabin was making very strange clicking noises from its binding during turns.

The only shop that I can trust in this part of the state is Little Rock Mud Connection which is 90 miles round trip from where I live.

When a shop does excellent work at a fair price, they are booked up for two weeks. They know what they are doing.

The manager was embarrassed and very apologetic. He knows they fucked up.
