How's things up your way? How far are you from Boone?

 

Things are good cooling off some. I'm about 3:30hrs from boone.

 

My buddies are wanting to get a cabin up there 2/16-2/20. If my mind doesn't change, I'm gonna take the whole month of Feb off and go up early and camp. Didn't know how far away you'd be.

 

It's not horribly far. You'll be around lots of cool places like linville gorge and falls area, grandfather mtn, the viaduct, etc. We've done day trips there.

 

I've found a few free camp spots that are open year round and then 1 or 2 that was $3 a night.

 

Maiden voyage to Clear Creek campground in Bankhead NF.

Trying to get rid of damn lizards. The past few days when I open a car or truck door a lizard is about waist to chest high looking at me or jumps over me. I dont care who you are when you open a door and something jumps over you, you will jump, lol I have found four today. Here is one of them in my Samurai

and one in my sons car.






They are getting between the door and rocker panel for some reason
