How are these working out still? Rubbing? You got the TRD lift kit, right? Would you know if getting 2 inch spacer and 1 inch block would essentially be the same height and be able to fit the same tires as you have?
I’m looking for a cheaper route than the $3200 I was quoted for TRD lift. But love the 275 size. Thanks.

How much taller is the truck with the TRD lift and 265/70r17 tires?

Can you explain this? Are you telling me there is equal chance of rubbing on 33's at stock height vs a 3 inch lift?

The recalibration test requires a special reflector that gets placed in the front of the sensor. It can be done with factory scan tool, but also needs that reflector.

It sounds like you could go to a shop and get a replica of this lift for way cheaper. (Which wouldn’t include warranty from Toyota or the grill/sensor). If you did go somewhere else, could you go to Toyota and just get the grill/sensor so that your maintaining the safety/functionality? Seems like that would be a way to save some money if you aren’t worried about Toyotas warranty.

Many do that. But because I'm a distrusting person with vehicle repair/work and I don't know anything about doing this kind of stuff myself, I ate the bullet and paid the higher price to have it all done at the same dealership that I purchased my truck from. Ya it was more expensive but it was worth it to me, an average Joe, to just say I want this and half a day later it was done

This is my take as well. For what it’s worth, the dealer that did mine said they would install aftermarket lifts, but they were instructed by Toyota to delete all TSS features when doing so for liability issues. Could be blowing smoke, so take it with a grain of salt.

Mine was the first TRD lift they had done, and the calibration took them forever (like 4 hours) due to some “computer issues.”

I would love to see more pictures of the truck. This is what I’m leaning toward. (Possibly 265’s). I have 21 sport dcsb. Your ride looks awesome, I might be all in on 275’s though. Please post additional pics if you can. Thanks!!!

Trd pro 4 runner wheels are +4mm offset

If you try to use stock +25mm offset wheels on 275-70-17 you will rub

Dealer installed TRD lift and Nitto terra grapplers 265/70/17's. This is exactly the lift and tire size look I wanted when I decided to buy a Tacoma. Drives and handles beautifully!

You don't have any problem running 275s on the Pro 4Runner wheels? Aren't they only 7"? I thought 265s were as wide as you could go

I don’t know much about the offset, it sounds like the wheels determine the offset then? I was thinking I would try to go 0 offset based on different looks. But I would much rather have the peace of mind and not rub than chance it with 0 offset. If you have any more pics that show how much tires poke or front stance, I would appreciate it.

Diff wheels have diff offsets. Most stock tacoma wheels have +16-25mm offset. I think you wanna stay as close to 0 to avoid rub or cutting or needing new UCAs. Stock tires with 275 or larger are probably gonna hit your uca and cab mount.

My +4mm offset are perfect for my current lift, wheel, and tire size. 0 rub at all. No additional modifications needed. Still use oem mud flaps

My wheels do poke a little outside of the fenders when looking at it head on. But not super aggressive because I don't use wheel spacers or have negative offset wheels
