Mine fit great. They’re shatterproof and very flexible. I almost thought they were too big but you bend them a little to fit them in and they are nice and tight.

So the 255/85r16 Cooper ST MAXX pretty much were toast.

So went back to K02s but this time 285/75r16 :muscleflexing:

For anyone that’s installed the auto up/down switches, has anyone had any issues?

I have had mine installed for 2 months and just today the “windows lock” button stays engaged no matter what position the button is in and I can’t roll down any windows except the drivers:

Repaired the 4WD actuator breather hose, it had dry rotted where it meets the nipple (replaced with new, at the nipple and thoroughly reconnected with old hose further up) and was just dangling.
If you haven’t checked your hose in awhile I recommend that you do, I cannot be the only one whose hose dry rotted at the attachment point.

That's the 4WD actuator motor breather it goes up to a t junction where it meets the actual transfer case breather and goes further up the side to where on a manual transmission there's the transmission breather at the shifter base.

When I did my clutch I extended both lines up into my engine bay because I do like to play offroad.

FWIW on my transfer case breather line had somehow been loose and contacted my exhaust and I had a 1" burn through the breather hose, check the passenger side up your driveline to ensure the lines are intact and the T junction isn't broke.

I also had a snapped actuator nipple and drilled and carefully tapped to 1/8NPT and threaded in a brass nipple and have had no issues.

Awesome, will do and thanks Key!
Nice going on the tapped brass nipple, DIY for the win!
So is it just air that passes through this hose, and is its purpose to allow mechanical breathing when the truck may be submerged in water/mud?

Yup it's to allow air a way to accommodate for expansion and contraction due to heating and cooling from driving cycles and potentially submersion so it doesn't pull anything that isn't air in through the seals where it can corrode stuff.

That little black plastic actuator motor assembly is something like $1000+ and you can only get them new from the dealer; best to keep it sealed, minus the functional breather line, and a good way to see to that is to have said breather functioning.

I'd also try blowing through it and listening for any more leaks, IIRC it's got a check and you shouldn't be able to suck through it.

May have a tinge of transfer case gear oil so be aware if you attempt such, uh, manually.

i wouldn't put compressed air through it you might blow off the end cap check and or the T junction.

Thanks for sharing your moment with us, and you’re not alone, we all do dumbshit from time to time :frusty:
And at least you didn’t drain your transmission pan thinking it was the oil, that’s been reported more than a few times here on TW.

I was taught to always touch the old filter to the new filter as doing so transfers some oil to the new O ring to lube it so it doesn't deform (more important on square profile O rings) and doesn't stick to the housing next change (like unfortunate OP above) as well as to verify both O-rings are accounted for in their rightful places, then spin on till the seal just makes contact and do appropriately 3/4 turn (maybe a more maybe less depending on vehicle and filter etc etc) then turn back just a hair to relieve stresses on the O ring for the best seal. The filter should be snug but not tight; the filter body and the receiver body should never be touching.

Doing this practice I've never had a leak or blow out.

    YMMV.

New battery today. Interstate 27F. Old battery was a 34R AGM that was in it when I bought it so I had some issues with the J bolts not being tall enough for the new physically bigger battery. Can't complain too much because it lasted 6 years and got me 18 months. Probably could have kept going but decided to be proactive. Please don't flame me too much for the speaker wiring lol. I promise it is much cleaner in the cab:rofl:.

Nice to be back in a 2nd gen.

Will do some minor things here and there to the new truck. Had some extra fender liner material from my old GX and covered up some of the open body work that leads to the under cowl space in the fender wells.

And had to get a different car seat that would fit in the access cab, for the rare times my kid will ride in the back lol.

Need more pics. Especially of your front suspension setup. Fender liner material is a good idea.

It’s running a solo motorsports xlt kit. I’ll have to get more pics later but I bought it off another member who really kitted it out.

Partially installed Auxbeam 8 Pod RGB Rock Lights. I only did 4 of the pods this weekend. I'll need to remove the tires and wheel liners to properly do the rest. Although I might not do the fender wells and instead do the front and back. I'm undecided. There isn't much space to show until after I get a lift put on it.

I snapped a quick pic in Miami Vice mode lol

Also finally got around to tying in my backup camera to my aftermarket touchscreen stereo.
