I have the same wheels with the same TRD center caps, I really dig the red spokes, been debating doing a white yellow orange red stripes, TRD heritage colors but afraid it might be a bit much.

I should try it with electrical tape and see what I think.

Was going to change brake pads, but the ones I bought don't appear to be the right ones.
Removed the tent and bedrack for the year.
Installed a new snorkel head. A little bigger than I thought it would be but I'll get used to it.20221015_112454.jpg

Have you or a previous owner done the Pro 4Runner Big Brake swap?

Find the caliper casting number and cross reference it and that will tell you what pads you need.

IIRC stock is 13WA 13WG is from a tundra which can also work and the 4Runner BBK is 14WA but I probably have at least one of the casting stamps wrong.

Anytime you modify any component of your suspension you need an alignment. You can either get an alignment after the fronts from like a tire kingdom/NTB where you get a warranty for your alignment and then go back and get another one later, or you can just put up with crooked steering for a bit and get the whole alignment later. Being out of spec only really hurts the truck over time so a couple weeks shouldn’t do any real harm. Tacomas have solid rear axles anyway so there aren’t really any adjustments without using shims, which most shops don’t do anyway.

No I still have the stock brakes. These were TRD pads that I found the number in a thread on here. I'm sure I probably just misread something.

For the most part you're correct, alignment isn't needed if you only did something to the rear as there's nothing to be adjusted there other than fender gap and that doesn't effect tracking stability or wear, on the front though, this is just 250ish miles of running on "eyeball" alignment waiting for my alignment appointment with my specialist 4x4 shop since a-freakin'-parently my truck is too big for a regular rack and or too modified to be worked on due to liability policies.

    PXL_20220925_170024401.jpg

The most important thing after lifting is recalibration of the VSC system which can be done at home if you're comfortable jamming a paper clip into your OBDII port a few times, I made a little momentary switch for doing the recalibrate procedure as I mess with my truck often and the dealer charges like $150 to do it.

    They're funny.

Dang if I had known about the rear not needing alignment I would have done it much sooner. Just didn't want to pay for two alignments (as I would only have time to complete front OR rear at one time this weekend).

Good news is I have an 05 Sport, so no VSC/ATRAC that I am aware of.

This is only true of leaf sprung solid axle rear vehicles or coils sprung solid axle rears with non adjustable trailing links and pan hards, anything independent rear or adjustable links would need a rear alignment.

*Disclaimer, I'm sure there's exceptions to those rules I don't know about.

Whoever told you your Tacoma won’t fit must have a really small alignment rack or a manager who just won’t accept lifted vehicles, I work at a Tire Kingdom and just yesterday I did an alignment on a 2015 F150 with a 6’ lift and 35s. It barely fit on our rack but it did fit with a couple feet to spare (after performing the rollback to calibrate the machine). I’ve done F250s on the same rack, honestly the biggest problem is weight as the scissor lift we have can’t support the weight of anything bigger than a single cab F250/2500 or a super crew F150/1500. Come up to Jacksonville and I’ll get you set up perfect.

There are always exceptions that are annoying, a good portion of independent rear setups actually aren’t adjustable at all or can only have the toe adjusted. Volvo has some cars set up with no adjustments in the rear. Fronts are always adjustable even if you have a solid axle like a Jeep, they use expanding bars to make adjustments. Chevy suburbans and tahoes (and their GMC and Cadillac equivalents) have a solid rear axle with no adjustments which make them super easy to align. Only like a 15-20 minute job if nothing is seized. Same with most pickup trucks.

I took it to a TK and they showed me the tires were kinda spilling over the sides of their floating pads at the front of the rack and they weren't comfortable getting an accurate alignment like that.

They may have had a smaller Hunter laser rack or something, most shops just won't touch it because it has heim steering and upper control arms, two shops told me the wheelbase was okay, width was questionable but overall length was too much, I have an ARB and a dual swing out with a full size matching spare (285/75/17) on it and run SCS wheels with near zero offset, my truck weighs about 6k lbs lots of steel armor.

Some shops are willing to do the work but their policies don't allow for anything but stock specs and obviously that's never going to be achieved with my mods nor is it desired, I like 0 camber 0 toe and all the positive caster possible.

I'll definitely keep you in mind, I don't make it up to J town often but I do cruse through once in a blue moon, I was hard up for an alignment and my guy was out of town, the tech that did my alignment a few weeks ago when I changed uppers from All Pro or Camburg did a decent job but didn't give me much positive caster.

Will definitely hit you up and buy you lunch or something next time I roll through Jax.

Looked into my P0031 code. Low heater control circuit. 15A fuse is fine. Different relay didn’t fix it. Halfway through installing a new AFR sensor. Fingers crossed!

also freed up my passenger side lower brake pad pin. Pads were kinda jammed in due to corrosion so hoping they slide better now.

I did the once a year wax today, took her out shopping and ended up with this. With the addition of the fridge I lost my sub so I went with the kicker hideaway combo 8”. Took a little bit of finessing to get it to fit under the seat where the amp was previously but it fits.

After the yearly wax she’s a solid 50 footer.
