Yup. Ordered some just a few months ago. Tried to get some for my buddy's 4Runner and they were all out of stock.

It was fun avoiding MSRP for the same arms while it lasted.

    +3 on the CBI.

If there ISN'T a snorkel, install is fairly simple.

If there is a snorkel, not so fun trying to hold back a loosened snorkel from A piller, shifting/lifting the hood hinge and sliding the mount in.... solo.
A 2nd set of hands would have been great.
Then don't forget that the snorkel claims real estate that the mount is expecting to be clear. Cut/hack/test fit/test fit 2x/test fit 3x/swear 100x/paint/install...

    Minor SWAP update:
A340F received a new oil pan (funky drain plug/difficult threads), throttle cable and will receive a new extension housing seal. All buttoned up and ready to go. No more waiting. No more excuses. Need to just start removing the PeeRunner transmission and get this thing done.

    Current to do list:
    1. Run front diff breather (forgot to attach it when I installed the diff lol)
    2. Remove 340E, install 340F, run transmission breather line
    3. Bolt up transfer case
    4. Install front/rear driveshafts
    5. Figure out electrical connections for speedo, 4WD indicator, etc.

Ordered up an rtt on Amazon. Shipped right from china in 5 days. 1500$!!!! I have no complaints so far. The mattress is only 1.5” but I knew ahead of time. Will be putting my Yakima roof rack back on and add a fairing.

So many broken tailgate cables lately... Guess we know the lifespan of these damn things. About 20 years.

I need to find an A340F pan for mine. Apparently the normal part number is discontinued and the Cali spec one isn't (egr changes the angle of the dipstick tube?) and every used pan I have lying around is badly rusted out. One off an Ohio truck and one off a Michigan truck.

This aluminum pan may be an option someday but who knows.

I don't know what the exact differences are between the two pan versions but when I ordered the new pan, I expected it to take forever. It was here in 3 days. Part # doesn't specifically say CA only so I'd just run with it. If you want the one I have here with the fuxored threads, shoot me a PM and we can figure out shipping. It's also off a CA spec'd transmission (at least that is what is showing when pulling the VIN).

I used Salinas toyota to order the replacement.

The reason I say it's a Cali part number is a lot of parts sites mention california in the description.

If I could just figure out what dipstick it needs... there was a super helpful thread somewhere but I can't find it right now.

    3510334060 says 4WD.
3510335460 is blank on all sites I've checked.
3510334070 seems to be for 2WDs.

So just as a quick compare, I pulled up the first 2000-2004 tacoma listed on partsouq. Not using a VIN whatsoever. When I look at the transmission and then the filler tube, it gives me #3501334060 for the filler tube. I had ordered a filler tube for this 99 CA emission A340F from Colorado Springs Toyota using its VIN#. Part# also 3501334060.

As for disptick, the 2nd part# you listed is the dipstick. 35103-35460

    I can't find any differences.
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~gage~sub~assy~transmission~oil~level~35103-34060.html
    https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~gage~sub~assy~transmission~oil~level~35103-35460.html

If you figure it out, let me know. If my original stock dipstick isn't the right one with this transmission...guess another 20 bones goes out the door.

EDIT: Oh, it looks like 4060 fits up to 2003 tacos. 5460 fits 2002-2004 tacos. Why the difference, have NO IDEA.
