Hi all! I have a code P0031 Bank 1 Sensor 1 H02s Heater Control Circuit Low. Most of the info online seems to be about 1st gen tacos but I have a second gen 2.7.

is the air/fuel sensor the likely culprit? I’ve seen people change relays and fuses for this code (though theirs seem to be paired with other codes. This is my only code)

from what I’ve read, this is the pre-cat sensor and I’ve come up with this

    https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...2-toyota-tacoma?q=Air+fuel+ratio+sensor&pos=2

Would I be correct? Should I check any fuses or relays first? Thanks in advance!

Don’t know if anyones following but just an update: 15A fuse was fine. Tried a different relay from Oreillys. Didn’t fix it so I put the higher quality stock relay back in. Now have the AFR sensor removed and about to install the new one

Did you check the resistance on the heater circuit of the sensor (should be the 2 like color wires), that's the easiest way to tell wheather or not the heater in the sensor is good.

Thanks! I’ve already got the new one in and the CEL gone but it’s useful info for the future!
