If I see a taco all alone I go ahead and slide right in next to it for some hot taco on taco action. On time I came out of a movie theater, when people did that sort of thing, and they had clearly got busy, the 2 tacos had spawned 3 more.

That's different. If it's heavy or slightly modified Toyota, I park next to it. Lowers the odds of a getting a door ding.

If they park next to me, I throw them a free patch and sticker :)

I'll park one spot away from a nice Toyota but not right next to them.

This was back when I lived in Colorado Springs. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the area, it’s windy as fuck there.

I was parked in front of the gym and it was a particularly cold and windy day.

I was sitting in my 4Runner which has some pretty decent rock rails on it They were also kicked out in the back to protect the rear wheels.

Some woman in one of those tiny little BMWs pulls up next to me and opens the door, the wind catches it and immediately you just hear this extremely loud WHAP sound.

She gets out of her car and starts screaming and crying and then she sees that I’m sitting in my truck having myself an energy drink so she walks around to the driver’s side and knocks on my window and says “look what your truck did to my car.” And I’m like “bitch, I was parked; you literally smacked your door into me.”

And she’d be all like “this wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t have those pipes sticking out of your car,” I guess ”pipes” meant the rock rails.

And I’m just like “I’m sorry that my truck was not more damaged by your carelessness.”

She said that she was gonna call the cops and see what they had to say about the situation, but I had other shit to do so I drove off. I came back to that gym but never saw her again and the police never arrested me so I guess I’m OK.

I would have gotten out and looked at the rail, then pointed out damage and said "ok that's cool I think we should call the police"

Looks like a huge and empty parking lot. I don't see a problem, especially since this person clearly parked in the empty part of the lot. You can see all the vehicles bunched up on the other lot in the distance.

Note: I don't park like this as it invites people to mess with your vehicle, but it also doesn't bother me given the above mentioned circumstances.

Btw, it wouldn't let me to quote a picture so I just downloaded and then uploaded it lol.

i think the drivers of these cars need that extra space to get in /out.

I was the asshole today. Not because of how I parked, but what I said to someone who parked like an asshole.
POS GTO with some hefty people in it parked about 2 ft over the line. As I was walking by I told them that if they parked at the end of the lot and walked instead of the front, they might lose enough weight to not be considered oversized loads.

They appeared to be the type to each get a large pizza, a party size bag of doritos, and a 2L diet Pepsi for dinner.

this does frustrate me when people park this way

I was behind a Prius a couple weeks ago, who was driving five under the limit. Bumper sticker on the left read, "The closer you get, the slower I drive." I put that to the test and it was indeed true. The bumper sticker on the right, which had much smaller lettering, read, "'Bro, sweet Prius!' -Nobody. Ever." So, he was rude, but honest and with a sense of humor.

On topic: I don't have a picture, but I bought a '22 TRD Pro yesterday and managed to park with about two feet of bed hanging out in the lane (in a very low traffic, far-away-by-foot, empty corner of the parking lot) when I took my wife and son to dinner last night. Alas, I didn't fix my asshole-ish parking. I did, however, feel bad about it. But, now that I've admitted to being that guy, I feel better. I also did keep an eye on it while we ate. Two cars drove in front of the joint the whole time we were in there; nobody ever went way back in that corner. So I guess it was OK this one time and promise not to do it again.

In my defense, with the freakishly large growth in the middle of the hood and the steep drop off just in front of it, I haven't quite built up the innate sense of "this is exactly where the front of the truck is." The sight picture is radically different than the JGC I've been driving for the last twelve years.
