    I was actually talking to the owner of the MR2 (the aforementioned "guy at the cars and coffee" who works for Toyota and rebuilt the engine in this car) about my truck's issues, and I totally forgot to get pics of the Camaro...

    Out of curiosity, what would you do? I don't know how much longer I'm going to have my truck, but for what my mechanic has quoted me on this used low-mileage engine, I'd say it's better than buying a used vehicle or putting a band-aid on an old engine that could have something else go wrong...

    Not sure Charlie. Thinking the used engine might get u the best value. You will have a new frame truck , engine with 53k miles , and with that it should last years. However if ur buying new is a few years ..... why spend 7k when 5k will get u a few years......

    That's the thing; I don't know if I'm buying. There's lot of shit going on right now, and I would rather save up for a new truck in 2024-2026 than settled for a used vehicle that doesn't have everything I want in 2022-2023; I would honestly prefer to keep my truck indefinitely and make it my "second vehicle" when I buy something newer. Right now, I cannot afford two vehicles, but by 2024 I might be able to.

    That actually was technically a classic car show, and I was shocked to see a brand new Lexus with 1,100 miles on it; I am sad to say that the car show season is pretty much over. There is a HUGE cars and coffee at SteelStacks in Bethlehem tomorrow morning, and a Halloween-themed showed in Levittown next Saturday. Because my truck is getting the new engine, I don't have to feel bad about driving it to work this week or driving it to the show next weekend!
