I had my flu shot yesterday as well. I won't do any more Covid shots, though. Getting the first set was as bad as getting the virus for me, and too many adverse side effects occurring for my liking. :puke:

On the upside for me, my cholesterol numbers were all in the acceptable range for the first time in a while.

Good morning. About 43 degrees here, on it's way to a nice Fall day. The wife and I cleaned the only carpet we have in the house last might after watching a hockey game. We were at it until about midnight. Recently, we remodeled our back bathroom, putting in a new shower and some fixtures. The trudging in and out over a beige carpet, made it look terrible. Cleaning it for hours made it look presentable, but a light carpet is not the way to go when you live in a muddy environment.

Hoping to get out on the bike and get some nice fall pics! First time in a long time that most of the trees did NOT go straight from green to dead brown...

    Good morning everybody :pccoffee:

We had a very nice day yesterday, sunny, blue sky with no clouds, about 80*. I finished pressure washing the back of my house. Not much on today’s agenda.

    Good morning, folks!

Glad to see that the boss had a moron-free camping trip so far. I was working on the deck project yesterday, I had to remove the old footers. They were hand dug, 12"-ish diameter at 20 inches below grade, 10" deep. The code says that they need to be 18" diameter, 20" below grade, 10" deep with the post sitting centered and back filled around the post or a solid pour that is 4" above grade then a mechanical post anchor. That's the question that I need to figure put really quick this morning- do I just pour the small pad and rest the post on it and back fill or do it the "right" way and pour a pier? It's about $100 in materials to do the pads, $300 to do the piers.

The only advantage to pouring the piers is that someone can visually see that they are 18" in diameter and maybe a bit more stable, but I'm only building a fair weather deck. It will never be enclosed while I own the place.

Oh yeah, and to jerk that invented work- piss off! (lol)

That’s not good hopefully they can get her some relief and don’t wait. The wife had surgery on hers a few years back and I could tell from the look on the doc’s face he didn’t have much hope it would help much. He said arthritis was so bad replacement would be the next step.
