Loud Squeeking Sound From Front End

I have a loud squeek coming from lower ball joint area from left front end of my truck, is that normal when these go out or maybe something else, just looking at common causes to look at, guy at Les Schwab seems to think its lower ball joints but Ive never had much faith in their company in general, plan on taking it to my local Toyota dealer for a second opinion, and will have them do the work with Toyota parts if thats the case, I do have Total Chaos upper control arms which can also make similar sounds when in need of lube but Ive already done that, any input would be appreciated

 

How old are the ball joints on upper and lower control arms?. I would recommend grease finally 4 ball jointd, if can through the zerk fittings if you have them if not then replace them (upper and lower ball joints) on each side.

 

Im not sure how old they are, Im the third owner of the truck, do they have grease zerk points?

 

Some do and some don't.. you are looking for grease zerk points if you have them....

Ill look again but I didnt see any for the ball joints

 

I never seen any on the OEM control arms.
Some after market arms do.

The driveshaft may or may not. Most all the 4x4 trucks have them on the front and rear.
Some late model 2nd Gens didn’t have them on the rear. You just have to look and see.

 

One of the ball joints is probably internally rusted. Even if grease is in it, it is defective.

This can happen and has on many makes and models, but is somewhat rare as they fail in other ways long before they exhibit these sort of annoying issues.

 

I live in a high humidy area, so maybe more prone to rust/squeeks

 

Ive seen some people talk about injecting grease into boot and even add zerk fittings to existing ball joints
