Fit Cam X Dash Camera

This is a great looking dashcam setup. I looked around, maybe missed it, but does it/how well does it record audio?

 

I does record audio, but I have never tested this as I have it turned off on my set up

 

Good enough for me. One thing I've hated was taking my cars to the mechanics and they disconnect the camera. With this setup it would be pretty hard to turn it off unless they start to take the truck apart.

This set up would more than likely go unnoticed unless they are looking for a camera

 

My 07 Subaru FXT that I had before the Tacoma I have now they would. I've had it at two shops and they disconnected it as soon as they get in the car. I have a Rexing that I really like, but I really like the idea of this one being integrated. Price doesn't seem insane for front and rear either.

 

I would look for a different mechanic, disconnecting your camera is very shady. Wouldn't be surprised if they joyride your truck / car or take it on food trips while it's in for "service".

 

No doubt. I haven't been back since, and since I'm about to sell that car, I won't need to go back. Just trying to future proof myself in the event it might happen again, that and my current camera doesnt have a rear setup, so replacing it is something Ive been thinking about doing.

 

Im still really liking the camera system, and yes the price is right for the front and rear. Install and forget it

 

Well you might have sold me on it. I had never heard of this brand before but I love the OEM look and feel. It seems easyish to use from the videos I've watched on it, doesn't seem too hard to install.

 

The organization of the wires was the most challenging part really I found. They give way to much hahaha. Other than that its stupid proof for install

 

some of the reviews say it stopped working after a few months. anyone had this issue?

 

Yes. And they gave me a software update. Fixed.

Still love mine. Even got my mom one for her Corolla Cross since they make one for that vehicle too.

 

I was going to buy them from the company directly, but their return policy is trash. You only get 7 days and you can't open the package. Then I saw it on Amazon for $20 more, but because its Amazon you get basically unlimited return times and they will take it no questions asked, so I think I'm going to go that route when the time comes for me to get it.

 

My Fitcamx arrived today, Front & Rear camera Will try to install it in the next few day

 

how long did it take from order to delivery? mine's coming from China

mine also came from China and took about 14 days

once it reached the US and cleared Customs, it then moved via USPS (snail mail)

 

nice. usps usually never takes more than 3 days here probably due to high population density.
